About & Contact
Aengus Moran is a fanatical scuba diver, Underwater Photographer and Irishman in Oz.
Aengus is scheduled to win the Lotto shortly and go on an indefinite diving holiday, but, in the meantime, he enjoys his work as a Computer Engineer for at a large legal firm in Sydney.
On the 26th of January 2002, Aengus hired a Sea and Sea MX-10 camera for his first visit to the Grey Nurse Sharks at Magic Point, off Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. From that point, he was hooked on Underwater Photography, and quickly purchased a housing for his Canon Powershot S40.
With clearer purpose for diving, the dives numbers quickly climbed and in Feb 2003 Aengus moved to a Nikon Coolpix 5000 with an Ikelite housing. Soon after he added one, and then a second, Ikelite DS-125 strobe to his gear.
In April 2005, the Nikon was replaced with a Canon EOS 350D dSLR and an Ikelite housing. 2008 saw Aengus using a Canon 40D with an Aquatica housing and Ikelite strobes and presently he is using a Canon 5DII, also dressed in Aquatica.
